Terms and conditions of the Transformer Magazine’s Quiz League 2026



Article 1 – Organizer

The Transformer Magazine’s Quiz League 2026 (hereinafter referred to as the “Quiz League”) is organized by Merit Media Int. d.o.o., based in Zagreb, Croatia, the publisher of Transformer Magazine.


Article 2 – Purpose of the Quiz

The primary objective of the Quiz League is to foster engagement, encourage learning, and promote technical excellence within the global transformer and power engineering community. Through a series of live, interactive quiz sessions, the League provides a platform for knowledge exchange and friendly competition among professionals, students, and enthusiasts.


Article 3 – Eligibility and Participation

Participation is open to all individuals who register on the official Transformers Magazine website, join the quiz via a meeting platform and access the online Quiz platform.

  • Identification: Participants must use their real name as their nickname during each quiz session.
  • Conduct: Use of offensive, inappropriate, or indecent language in nicknames or behaviour will lead to immediate disqualification and permanent exclusion from all future rounds.

Participation is free of charge.


Article 4 – Quiz Format and Schedule

The Quiz League consists of 10 rounds, each held monthly on Thursdays at 2:00 PM CET, from September 2025 through June 2026. Each round will be held live.

Each round consists of the following:

  • 20 multiple-choice questions
  • 20 or 30 seconds per question
  • Scoring based on accuracy and response time

Quiz dates: The organizer will publish the dates of each individual round on the Quiz webpage.

  • Semi Final (participation for the Top 50% in the overall results, and all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each individual round)
  • Grand Final (Conference delegates) – held live at the Industry Navigator conference

Results will be published on the Transformer Magazine website after each round.


Article 5 – Individual Awards

Individual prizes are awarded based on number of wins and cumulative performance:

  • 1st win – SKROSS Global power adapter
  • 2nd win – Tie or scarf - custom-designed by Croata | Made in Croatia, the true home of the necktie
  • 3rd win – WENGER Laptop bag - MX ECO Brief
  • 4th win – Free admission to the Industry Navigator conference, powered by Transformer Magazine and Switchgear Magazine
  • 5th win – Free accommodation during the Industry Navigator conference
  • Overall winner (highest total score across all 10 rounds and the Semi Final) – Excellence Dedication Award
  • Grand Final winners: Surprise awards for the Top 3 ranked participants

Note: All awards will be presented in person at the Industry Navigator conference. Participants who do not attend the conference forfeit their right to collect their physical prizes.

For those unable to attend the Industry Navigator conference, digital prizes will be awarded:

  • 1st place – Selected Transformer Academy course – all levels
  • 2nd place – Selected Transformer Academy course – Intermediate and basic levels
  • 3rd place – Selected Transformer Academy course – Basic level
  • 4th win – Free admission to the Industry Navigator conference
  • 5th win – Free accommodation during the Industry Navigator conference
  • Overall winner (highest total score across all 10 rounds and the Semi Final) – Excellence Dedication Award


Article 6 – Company Awards

In addition to individual recognition, company representatives contribute to their organization’s ranking.

Conditions:

  • Participants must use a verified company email address when registering.
  • In each round, the top 50% of all competitors earn points for their company.

Final company ranking awards (announced after the conclusion of Round 10):

  • 1st place – Interview published in Transformer Magazine
  • 2nd place – One full-page advertisement in Transformer Magazine
  • 3rd place – One half-page advertisement in Transformer Magazine

These awards are intended to promote participating companies and celebrate their commitment to professional development.


Article 7 – Final Provisions

  • By registering and participating, all entrants agree to abide by these official rules.
  • The organizer reserves the right to:
    • Adjust technical details if necessary;
    • Amend these rules with prior notice;
    • Disqualify any participant who violates the terms of participation.

In case of disputes, the decision of the organizer is final.
